Description
My name is Terri H and I have been working as a home carer for several years. As a female carer, I have experience in providing various types of care including live-in, hourly, and overnight care. I have worked with clients who have Mild Cognitive Impairment, are bedbound, have Parkinson's Disease, and also those who experience anxiety and depression.
One of the highlights of my caregiving career is that I can drive and own a car, which enables me to provide transportation and run errands for my clients. My skills as a carer include bathing, toileting, assistance with dressing, and companionship. In addition, I am well-versed in cooking nutritious meals to meet my clients' dietary needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy various hobbies such as walking, cooking and baking, decorating, gardening, and knitting. These activities not only help me relax and unwind but also enhance my creativity and resourcefulness, which I bring to my caregiving role.
In terms of pet preferences, I am comfortable with cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, and birds. I find their presence and companionship to be invaluable when caring for individuals. I am known for my caring, friendly, and helpful nature, which enables me to build strong and trusting relationships with both my clients and their families.
My motivation for being a home carer is driven by my desire to help people lead independent lives. I believe that everyone deserves to have the support they need to remain in the comfort of their own homes while receiving quality care. Providing assistance and being a source of companionship gives me great satisfaction and fulfillment as I witness the positive impact it has on my clients' lives.
If you are looking for a carer who is not only skilled and experienced but also compassionate and dedicated, I would be honored to be considered for the role. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or for further information.

Terri has only worked for me as a photographer, producing a set of photos to illustrate my son's role as a Personal Trainer. These were produced on time and within budget. For a personal reference, I have known Terri for over 8 years, and know well of her commitment and care for elderly and infirm clients in previous employment, including some high-profile (retired) business clients. She also understands the needs of people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs. She is well-read, can engage in conversation to suit the ability of her clients, is an excellent cook and has a qualification in hairdressing. I am happy to be contacted to discuss further if required. (Please note that I am out of the country from 28th Jan to 4th Feb 2025.)

Terri ran our family house when my wife fell ill and I had to keep working long hours. She mainly did the food shopping, prepared the meals and did the laundry. She showed great initiative, worked hard and was very caring to the whole family.
